Octopus Electronic Bricks! You can use them build electronics projects just as easy as piling bricks! By using Octopus electronic bricks, you may connect Arduino or compatible boards easily with various digital, analog and I2C/Uart interfaces. These breadboard-less firm connections includes an extensive collection of modules like potentiometers, sensors, relays, servos, and even buttons.  Just plug and play!

Octopus Hunt Sensor is based on TCRT5000 photoelectric sensitive element. It's senstive enough to  detect infrared reflected signal. Together with an Arduino-specific sensor shield, the Hunt Sensor can be widely used in many fields, ranging from performing black and white line detection, obstacle detection , to shredding detection for a fax machine or a paper shredder, meter pulse data sampling, and other related works.   Sensitivity is adjustable via the blue digital potentiometer. The electronic building blocks interface uses three pins.

Parameter:

  • Power supply needs: 5V
  • Interface type: Analog
  • Pin Definition: 1-Signal 2-VCC 3-GND
  • Fast response with high sensitivity
  • Simple drive circuit
  • Stable and long life

Features:

  • TCRT5000 photoelectric conversion element, with a built-in infrared emitting tube and a receiving tube
  • Operating current for emitting tube and receiving tube is 10mA and 0.1mA, respectively
  • Indicator: an electric signal indicator. For example, it would be "on" when over a black line.
  • PCB positioning hole: 3.2mm standard positioning holes, capable of installing 3.2mm standard studs, screws. These match with other Octopus bricks!

Put this module 9mm away from the black plane, the "icon" pattern can be seen on micro:bit; 9mm away from the white plane, the "square" pattern can be seen on the micro:bit. The height can be adjusted via the sensitivity regulation controlled by the potentiometer.
