Pre-order FAQ

Our suppliers offer a wide range of products, and we may not always have everything in their catalogue.  As such, we are now offering pre-orders for our valued customers.


Here is how it works:

1) Place your order for a "pre-order" product.  These are identified by this button:

2) We import the stock on your behalf on our next purchase order from the supplier.  We typically order once or twice per week for Adafruit, and every other week for SparkFun. If your order contains a mix of in-stock and pre-order items, it will be placed on hold.

3) As soon as the stock arrives, we ship it and send an email notification (including tracking info).  For pickup orders, we will let you know when your entire order is available.  

    In this way, our customers are able to save on import duties and taxes!

    Our typical pre-order lead-times are as follows.  These are lead-times for the product to get to our Toronto warehouse, the shipping time varies depending on where you are in Canada and the service that you select.

    Adafruit 5 to 15 business days
    SparkFun 5 to 15 business days


    If an item from Adafruit or SparkFun is not available for pre-order, this is likely because Adafruit or SparkFun are out of stock on that item.
