Generic Product FAQ

In order to keep prices down, we are now offering generic versions of certain items.  Similar to when you go to a supermarket and see the exact same item as a name-brand and a "no-name" brand, these products are generally the same as the "brand name" products.

So, if you see a menu option for a "generic", that means it is a product that we have sourced directly, usually from the Chinese manufacturer themselves.  

We hope you like this new option.  We will only offer this on commodity products like wires, connectors, etc.  All of these parts are made in China anyway, so we figured we could pass some savings along to you.  When you buy a "non-generic", that just means the parts probably came to Canada via the United States.
